Welcome to Maitland Swimming Club
The committee has decided to postpone the 2025/26 swimming season. The decision is associated with the pool renovations not being complete to realistically January and also our coaching situation.
Who are we?
Maitland Swimming Club is a volunteer-run swimming club that has been running since 1940 at Maitland Swimming Pool.
What is swim club?
Swim clubs help provide a skill for life with ongoing development opportunities in the sport.
Swim clubs are not-for-profit organisations that are run by volunteers (usually parents of swimmers).
Swim clubs organise and coordinate weekly meets (often in the evening) and provide a forum for swimmers to race against other swimmers of comparable ability.
Who can join?
- Anyone from the age of 4 and up
- This is coaching, not learn-to-swim
- Minimum level of ability is being capable of being in the pool without an instructor in the water with them and able to follow verbal instructions
- There will be close supervision from the side of the pool and occasionally an instrcutor in the water as required
- Do not need to be able to swim 25m straight away, that will come
