There will be a touch screen tablet computer located outside the club room entry.
Please arrive by 6pm on the night to enter the races before the race night begins.
Grades and genders will be combined in the race events and handicapped accordingly but the final pointscore results at the end of the season will be separated into the usual grades and genders as normal.

Training

The Club has several training squads that cater for all levels of swimming: from shrimps and upward.
It is not necessary for Club Members to train with the Club however anyone wishing to be coached by the Club Coaches must be first claim member of the Club.
Coaching is not available for members who do not compete on Friday nights.
All members are put into the various squads according to their ability and stay in that squad for the duration of the season.
Members can arrange their training times with their coach.
Coaches require swimmers to have their own flippers, drink bottles and towels for training.
Training is available Tuesday & Thursday between 4pm & 5pm.

The Club operates various activities during the season:

Members can attend Swimming Meets throughout the season and participate as a Club.

Fundraising is held throughout the season to assist in raising funds to top up the income received from membership fees. Several fundraising activities are run throughout the season and funds raised go towards trophies, equipment, coaches’ education, and contributions to representative swimmers. Participation in these events is encouraged and appreciated.

Parents are an essential part of the Club, and all parents are encouraged to participate in Club activities.
This may include timekeeping, judging, marshalling, and fundraising.
One of our major issues on each Friday night is timekeeping.
We continually juggle to have the swimmers timed with some people having 2 stopwatches in their hands.
Please make yourself available for timekeeping every week or every few weeks to ease the workload on the group.
Come and have a chat. Note all training and equipment will be supplied.

The AGM is held in June each year at which time a new Committee is elected. All financial members are invited to attend.

For anyone who may be interested in becoming a Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, there may be the possiblility of financial support towards the cost of courses with conditions. Please contact the club if you would like more information.
